10 | Further Noting that the Russian-Ukraine war has increased food prices by over 17%. |

12 | Emphasizing that the continuing increase in food inflation could devastate low-income families and |

15 | We the Declaration of Malta hereby: |

17 | Encourages the members of the United Nations to help provide the human right of food to |
18 | countries that struggle to provide it for themselves. |

20 | Recommends that the largest food suppliers in the world including but not limited to The United |
21 | States, China, and India diversify the territories to which their produced food is exported. |

23 | Declares that in return countries such as Malta would export goods such as petroleum and |
24 | electrical equipment to the United States, China, and India. |

26 | Further requests that a $106 million international loan be created as an emergency fund for |
27 | countries that suffer from intense food scarcity. This fund will be sourced from the United Nations |
28 | Food and Agriculture Organization. |

30 | Affirms that the United Nations recognizes this specific issue is a dire problem and must be acted |
